WKA Daytona Update - Bertagnoli & Noaker Bag wins while Lemke Sweeps Sr Qualifying

January 04, 2016 - With a smaller group of Merlin drivers attending Daytona Kartweek at the Manufacturer’s Cup event expectations continued to run high for top results. Alex Bertagnoli would take 3 of 4 pole positions in the Yamaha Junior and Pro IAME Junior classes. Winning Yamaha on day 1 and IAME on day 2 showed he will definitely be a threat in 2016. Robert Noaker bagged a win in day 2 competition with his Merlin MINI-980 cadet in the Yamaha Sportsman category. Noaker also claimed a Yamaha pole on the weekend. While it is not normal for Brandon Lemke to go win-less on a weekend these days he still flexed his muscle in his WKA Sr debut by hogging the pole position in the Sr classes. Lemke swept qualifying in both Yamaha Sr and Pro IAME Sr for the event as well as picked up a pair of 3rd place finishes in the Yamaha Sr class and a runner up in Day 2’s Pro IAME Sr final.
